A Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, Andy has lead or been a member of expeditions from inside the Arctic Circle to well below the Equator. Involved for a number of years in game capture and research expeditions across Africa, Andy is a founding Trustee of Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF).

The World’s only charitable foundation dedicated to conserving one of Africa’s most iconic species (& sub-species), GCF’s work involves conducting and supporting a number of essential and long overdue research projects across the Continent, the most recent of which to Botswana in August 2009 was an Explorer’s Club Flag Expedition (Flag #76).

Lifelong Africa and African wildlife enthusiast, and supporter of numerous conservation initiatives around the world, Andy has been based on the mainland European side of the English Channel since 2004. He is currently working and living in northern Germany.
