Elena Mauri

Elena was born in Milan in 1976.
She lives in Italy and she is an artist.
Her passion for rock art and symbols lead her to collaborate
as graphic designer with the Centro Camuno di Studi preistorici
and the Valcamonica department of the center in Italy. She
has created illustrations and participated actively in the
organization of exhibitions, excavations, and events, for
these institutions.
She worked with the Natal Museum in
Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, joining their research and
excavations on Iron Age sites, and some surveys designed
to document and verify the state of conservation of sites
with rock paintings of the San hunter-gatherers, or Bushmen,
in the Drakensberg. She is currently working as a professional
painter and she writes
fairytales and poems. She collaborates with Umlando
in dealing with the public relations and organisation of
their research surveys and excavations that are open to
the public, and working for them as an assistant and as
english/italian translater.
